The BOM command generates a BOM report for fiber features in the extracted DGN file (Local) or all fiber features within a project (Global) as well as fence and shape reporting options.

Generate a BOM

1. From the BOM section of the Fiber Tab select the BOM icon to display the following options—select the appropriate option:

   

   Note: Report By Fence will report on all Bentley Fiber features rendered within a fenced area. Report By Shape will report on all Bentley Fiber features rendered within an existing shape feature (Hub, Tax District, Service Area, Wire Center Boundary, etc.). Local reporting will report on all Bentley Fiber features rendered in the drawing file. Global reporting will report on all Bentley Fiber features in the entire project (Oracle user).
2. The BOM Report dialog box opens. The BOM Report lists the splice enclosures, fiber nodes, headends, buildings, cabinets, etc. A detailed sheath BOM report is included.

   

3. A tumbling cursor (/-\.) displays while the report builds.
4. Select Output > Text File or ASCII Dump and enter a report file name to save the report.
5. Click Cancel to exit the report.
